After lunch, enjoy a cultural walking tour in Old Cairo. Visit the ruins of the Fortress of Babylon (built around AD 100 under Emperor Trajan), the Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga), the Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqa), and the Synagogue of Ben Ezra.

Meet your private Egyptologist and depart for the Great Pyramids of Giza—built more than 4,500 years ago as monumental tombs for Kings Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Towering in scale, Khufu’s pyramid alone was constructed from over two million stone blocks. Guarding this timeless necropolis is the mysterious Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the face of a man crowned with a royal headdress—often associated with King Khafre.

Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest institution devoted to ancient Egyptian civilization. Inside, you’ll see the colossal statue of King Ramses II and ascend the grand staircase lined with monumental royal artifacts, leading to an impressive glass façade with views toward the Giza Plateau. The GEM also houses more than 5,000 artifacts from the tomb of the golden king Tutankhamun.

Depart Cairo with your private guide to Bahariya Oasis (360 km/225 miles, approximately 4 hours’ drive). Begin exploring key oasis highlights including the Golden Mummy showroom, the Tombs of the Nobles (26th Dynasty), and the Tomb of Bannantiu—one of the most important burial sites in the oasis.

Explore the striking landscapes of Egypt’s Western Desert. Visit the Black Desert (50 km/33 miles) with its volcanic hills and dark sands, then continue to El Haize (St. George Oasis) for a natural hot spring stop.

Marvel at Crystal Mountain with its glittering quartz formations, then continue through the Valley of Agabat for dramatic rock formations and surreal desert scenery.

Later, enter the White Desert National Park—Egypt’s most iconic desert destination—where wind-sculpted chalk formations resemble mushrooms, pebbles, and fantastical shapes. Continue toward Farafra Oasis (45 km/30 miles) for an overnight stay.
